We are alive and well thank you very much for your prayers and love….
Yes the Super Typhoon “Yolanda”, the worst typhoon in World History hits the middle part of the Philippines and passing out through northern Palawan. We’re sure that you have seen the devastation cause by the super typhoon. Just in one island the mayor said that about 10,000 lives were dead…and still finding more dead bodies as they clear up. The other islands are unaccounted for because one island lost all their communication when the typhoon flat down all the electric and communication cable posts. Even in Northern Palawan, Coron is declared state of calamity. Lives were taken there. We are in the main city yet the typhoon didn’t hit us except we had severe heavy rain but not that strong wind, we had little flooding in our store room but the house and roofs and ourselves were very fine. It’s hard to believe when we watch the damage on the news and the fact that it did pass over northern Palawan. We are still standing. We really prayed that time and we’re sure that your prayers covered us as well. But the strange thing is Palawan is not known for being touch by any of the monsoons except the first was last year, typhoon Pablo, hit at this time of the year and also caused damage. It did at that time hit the main city but the damage was not as severe as other areas of Palawan. Strangely at that time when the typhoon did hit Joy and I were both in the hospital when I had my operation and therefore didn’t experience or see any of it. Joy’s sister who lived in another island of Cebu were fine as well although some parts of Cebu is also declared under the state of calamity.
If there is any love offering from the church/individuals to help the victims of typhoon kindly send and let us know so that we can channel it to the right churches that are directly working on this or we will go with the churches to do Help Ministry for the people in Palawan and will keep you up to date.
Please continue to pray for the Philippines, 5 provinces are in the state of calamity including Palawan.
